On tread that is at the edge of the tire at the sidewall, I am missing one of those little squares of tread. Is that bad??
When I take my Max back in for the new glove box I will have them give me a new tire. I have 2,800 miles on the Conti pieces of crap and I'm not very impressed. Just another day in the life of a Max owner.

Sounds bad... that's definitely a means for the dreaded shimmy problem.

BadBlackMaxSL - Unless the rubber was not affixed properly to the belts, you must have hit something pretty hard or sharp to do this. You may not have even been aware you did it. Hitting a jagged pothole at the edge can do this.

This may be a tire road hazard problem that will have to be taken to a Continental dealer. I would be willing to bet the Maxima was not at fault.

I've been on my Contis a full year, and like them so far.
