225/55R16. Should have gone with 215/60R16 to get a smaller contact patch and hence more ground pressure. The 225 are too wide IMO. Dunlop Winter Sport M3.

I will be going with 235/50/17 on my 8" wide G35 17's for the winter....want a little more sidewall than stock for our crappy roads around here....I will be getting Dunlop Wintersport M3.

I'd run 16's if I could, but they won't clear my brakes

205/60-16 pizza cutters for winter here. Load rating is 92 which is slightly lower than the stock Potenza 93 but should not be a problem if you do not overload your car.

irish, since i posted about this "problem" a few days ago.... don't you think that such setup, with the G35 wheels and 235/50 tires on the rear may rub on your rear fenders? ....like it did on mine (with Z wheels) with 2 people on the back seat. Or you have another trick.

hankook 401's 215/60/16 on steelies - same reason as ccs2001 - to get max psi (narrowest contact patch). it works! believe me we get winter here ie:black ice & -30C temps!
