EVO VIII wheels.......Pics Are Up!!!

I just picked up a set of '03 Mitsubishi Evo VIII wheels and tires yesterday. I got them for a pretty good deal, and they came with 235/45/17 Kumho tires. They're 17x8" with a +38 offset. I haven't seen anybody else with these..... Anybody got pics on a white Max, since I won't be putting them on for a couple of weeks.

You seem to be getting new wheels daily. Post some pics once you get those puppies on.

Yeah, try and talk to my GF about this one........she's real happy! This is what she wants to do to me ! But anyways, I'm debating on this, but I may be painting these bronze . Basically, I'm trying to get every single color available for rims on my car . But, when I decide if I'm going to paint them, I'll post pics after I install them.

I'm striving to be like Jeff92se and have almost every possible rim for our cars. Just kidding. I just haven't found a set that I really like. If I decide to sell the GramLights, what's a fair price? They're 18x8, Gunmetal 57pro's, with a +40 offset, wrapped in Kumho Ecsta 712's with about 80% tread. 2 tires have real slight camber wear. Just curious........any feedback?

Really? I could've sworn that I looked on the back of the wheel. and seen a +38. I'll go look again. If it is a +35, even better !

Thanks for the interest in the GramLights, but since I posted that yesterday, somebody who had already previously looked at the rims has decided to pick them up. Thanks again.

Ok, decided to go ahead and paint these suckers bronze. We got a '00 GSR in the shop with bronze Mugen MF10's, and I kinda liked the color. So, I had one of my painters mix me up a batch of color and tinted it to that same shade. It's a light bronze, not quite as dark as the Volk bronze, and not as copper looking as the 5zigen bronze. Kinda like a cross between gunmetal and bronze. But anyways, I went ahead and sanded the rims down today. I'll be on a trip next week, so I plan on spraying them in 2 weeks. I'll post the pics later. Just needed an A/C break, so I decided to post this.

Yeah, there really isn't anything special about them. But, I picked up a set at a really good price and figured......'Eh what the hell.....I haven't seen any other Max's with them, maybe some other people might be interested in seeing them. And yup, they do look similar to the Enkei's, but of course everyone knows they're obviously made by Enkei anyway. As far as not putting them on a Max......I've seen many other members with rims less appealing (IMO) than these Evo's . Plus, the specs are pretty good, I mean as far as width and offset......at least for a stock wheel!

Evo's

Just got home from the shop and the rims are finally painted. I'm pretty happy with the way it came out. I'm going to put the wheels on tomorrow and post pics when I get home.

Okay, so I put the wheels on this morning. I must say I'm pretty happy with the way they look on the car. The color looks pretty cool in the sun, and the fitment is pretty nice too. I wish I had spacers for the rear though. When you go from a +30 offset in the back ( 18" G35C's) to a +38, it makes a big difference. What do you guys think?

Yeah, they do kinda look like the Kosei's. I was pretty happy with the outcome. My painter mixed a Ford color and then tinted it a bit. I think I may end up keeping these.......well at least for a little while!

I like the look and they are relatively light. I think they weigh about 20lbs or just under. I'd keep them around for a while.

Hey Jeff, I'm trying to collect as many sets of wheels as possible so I can be like you!!! Just kidding. But I kind of "ghetto" weighed these. I weighed myself, then weighed myself again holding the wheel in my arms . I then checked on Tirerack, and the tire itself weighs 25#. I figure the Evo's weigh about 18#/19# (about).
