Nitto NT555 I like them

There are many tires reccomended on this site. I have yet to see Nittos here. I had them on a previous car and liked them. I bought a new set today and so far I really like them. They have an aggressive tread pattern and make a little noise at speed but not much more than the contenentals I had on stock rims.
Nitto NT 555 ZR Extreme 235 - 40 - 18 300 Tread Wear A traction A Temperature ZR Speed Rated.

I had them installed on my Enkie OR52 18" rims.

Have you driven in heavy rain with them? I hear their wet traction leaves something to be desired.

i really like the 555s as well. great tires especially for the money. i have had michelin pilots a/s and the RE92 as well. the Nittos only lack the michelins in the wet tracking by a hair but the difference in price is what persuaded me. i think they have great wet traction but my first and last experience in snow/ice with them will keep me from doing that again. at the price they sell for, i thought they would wear out rather quickly but these have surpassed the michelins and i will repurchase them when the time comes.
as a side note, i had a friend who had the nitto 450 on his 4th gen and they were fine for about 5k miles then turned to crap. the tires from somewhat soft to hard rocks and left him with no traction even in dry conditions.

I love mine. Just got a new pair for the front. I got almost 40K miles and only when the tread was worn did I experience wet road traction issues. Obviously they eat the stock Potenzas up and I must say I prefer them over the Yokohama AVS ES100's I had. Those were the noisiest tires I have ever owned. I will never buy the Yoko's again. Shoot, at $104/tire. You just can't beat the 555's.
