I'm trying to paint my wheels ising duplicolor wheel paint. The pain is not going on smooth at all. in has a really gritty texture to it. I though about the humidity and that's not it. Right now its 95 with 48% humidity.

the key to the paint sticking is to sand very good when you are stripping the old paint off the wheel. spray the wheel with the paint from a 10 to 12 inches away in one motion. or that rough gritty texture can be from over spray. just take your time when you do this. just do the steps that are on the how to's

More than likely you will need to sand with a very fine grit to get a smooth surface. Start with a 600 and move on up.
