hey, will 225/50R16 tires fit on my rims, the tires i have now i think are 205/50r16, are they to wide for my rims?

How wide are your rims? They should fit, that size will fit on the '97 stock SE wheels which are 16x6.5. Next time I buy tires that's what size I will be getting.
