What type of wheel weights do your OEMs have?
Hmm. Just noticed something when I pulled by OEM 17s off for my winter rims. I drive an 02 I35 and I bought it used so this is the first time on noticed the back side of them.
I recently had my tires balanced and noticed the weights were a combination of both the "stick on" ones and others that are tapped on to the edge of the rim. I know the weight that was tapped on was put on recently just by noticing how new and clean it was.
Normally for aluminum wheels, don't they usually put on the stick on weights to minimize scatching of the rims?? Now I know its the backside so no one notices but was wondering if my Infiniti dealership was doing some half assed job or something.

If the rear lip has a decent rib to mount to, there is no problem using clip weights. May have even been that way from the factory. Sticky weights are great but they make more of a mess over time and it normally takes more weight to balance vs clip weights.
