what is the biggest tires i can put on 17" altima SE rims...?
hi all .. i have an i30 and i have the altima 2003 or 4 SE rims on it...

17"rims (tires stock) 215/55-17

now i want to go wider... with the tires.. whats the most i can put on that bad boy..?

also if i put wider tires.. am i gonna get more.. wobble..? or swaying beucase theres gonna be more loose meat..?

PS.. i want wider.. i dont want to go low pro...

You should go w/ 225/50/17s. You don't want wider tires for winter.

A wide, low profile or large tire has to "plow" a wide path through snow which causes more resistance. The narrower the tire, the easier you can get through snow

+1 to what Ammi is saying. 225/50/17 would be your best route if you want a bit of a wider tire, but for winter I don't think going wider will be better.
