Painting an SE wheel to match the 20th AE wheels

I have a 20th AE that the previous owner replaced one of the wheels with a "standard" 17" SE wheel (pothole problem). Is there any way to paint/plate/chrome the SE wheel to match the other 20th AE wheels? Is there actually a paint color available to match?

Any help that can be provided would be appreciated.

I would hit up ebay and se if anyone is selling one ar even a set, they are pretty cheap on ebay and having them repainted can get expensive.

I had the same problem. There is no paint that will match the exact finish of an AE wheel. According to a company I spoke with Nissan has exclusive rights to that paint. I have an extra wheel but it is curbed. Im not sure if you can get it fixed locally or not. Good Luck!

I heard that they discontinued using that paint because it contained a high lead content. The strange thing is the most paints for these applications contain lead.

Good luck to finding a close match. Besides you may find something better.

Thanks for the replies, folks!

I have been checking eBay, but no luck yet (at least, not for a single wheel!). I have found a few websites that will sell repro AE wheels for as little as $294 ($557 from the dealer (!!!!)), but I don't know if I'm ready to fork out that kind of money yet.

JustMaxin96: I would be interested in more info about the wheel you have; got any pics? How bad is it? Either PM me or e-mail to seesnax@insightbb.com . Thanks!
