Will EVO VIII OEM wheels fit 5th gens?

I'm talking about the 17x8 6-spoke Enkei's.

The bolt pattern is 5x114.3 same as 5th gen.

The offset 38mm, the 5th gen uses high offset, usually +45, 40, 35.

Will they fit on a 2000 Max?

These are probably an upgrade compared to 17x7 OEM wheels. Concerned about fender rub due to the Enkei's being 17x8.

I heard that they will, I was going to get a set; however it fell though.

Yes, they are an upgrade, they weigh less (about 9lbs less each I think), and they are wider.

Schweet.

Local dude is selling EVO 8 Enkei's for $600.

Thats 4 wheels with 4 tires at 95% tread left.

Hope he didn't steal them!

It would be hella ghey if they didn't fit my car!!!

Got Evo's???

Yups, they fit........at least they do on my 5th gen. Just kidding. I have a set that I custom painted bronze. They look pretty sweet, I think .
I'm a computer moron, so if you want to see what they look like on our 5th gens, PM me with your e-mail address and I can send you pics. If not, I know I posted it here earlier ( few months back. ). By the way, the offset looks pretty good IMO, not too far in, but not exactly flush. SWEET!

Sorry to bump up such an old thread. But I've decided I want OEM EVO wheels again, but the thing is, I've searched and I still didn't find a definitive solution to the lug nuts. EVO's use special ghey ones. I can't find a Nissan shank/washer type nut.

There's at least one 4th Gen with these rims too. Too bad I can't remember who it is or which subforum I saw the pics in.

If anyone decides to get this wheel, be advised that you need Short Shank Mag Lug Nuts.

There you have it.

I have them on my black 98 max and use short shank mag Gorilla brand lugs (#73128SM or 73127SM). I'll post/send pics if anyone is interested in seeing them on the car.

BTW, credit does go to Chris (NISMOPower) for giving me the idea

Chris lives right around the block from me. Except we found out firsthand that the shank type lug nuts like to strip our wheel studs.

I'm looking for more of a solid OEM EVO type lug nut.
