Bridgestone Turanza LS-V and INCREASED gas consumption

I almost bought a pair of Bridgestone Turanza LS-V for my Maxima SE today, but i decided to rear EVERY review on tirerack related to these tires. I am glad that i did it.

I noticed more than a few cases where people complain about SIGNIFICANT gas mileage drop/increased gas consumption. This is a really big concern for me. I even found one member of the org complaining about the same problem with these tires. Seems like they have a very high rolling resistance that causes more engine effort = more gas.

I am not sure how this is possible but i would like to hear your opinion on this. Anyone here who has these tires OR similar problem, please share your observations.
I really want a nice set of QUIET, reliable and grippy tires on my Maxima, but if they are going to kill my already "so-so" gas mileage, i will have to find another alternative.

Thanks in advance!

I noticed a significant decrease in fuel mileage after purchasing my Falken Ziez 512's. I just had the Toyo TPT's installed today. There is a noticeable difference in performance. Sidewalls are much stiffer with the Toyo's and it's much easier to change directions and steer the car with the Toyo's.

How long have you had these tires for? How many miles on them? How do you like them in terms of road feel, handling and road noise?

I've had these tires for about 2,000 miles and I love 'em. Click on the below link to see what I have to say about them.
