5Zigen fno1r-c wheels - need hubcentric rings??

Hey guys,
I just received my new track wheels, and noticed that the hub bore appears to be slightly larger than those on my Nissan and Infiniti wheels (i measured with a caliper). I test-fitted the wheels and sure enough, the wheel does NOT rest on the center hub, but only on the lugs themselves. Is this the way it's supposed to be, or should they have sent hubcentric rings?

Also, noticed that because of the curvature of the wheel hub area, my usual lug socket won't fit down enough...anyone who is using these particular wheels (5Zigen fno1r-c), what kind of lug nuts and removal tool are you using?

here's some pics, where you can see the gap between the wheel and the hub.

Yup.. just get a typical hubcentric ring and I use the Gorilla spile-drive type lug nuts.

You can also buy some regular lug nuts that will fit. I picked up some
open-ended lug nuts from Autozone or Oriellys that used a 19mm socket and had a lip on the bottom so you could just stick them in the end of the socket and they wouldn't slide in.

thanks matt....the place I bought them was supposed to send some "if needed" and they didn't...I'll have to give them a call. Where else would you get them?

I am an idiot

this thread: an example of what happens when you don't dig into the packing materials of all 4 boxes.

under packing stuff: baggy with center caps, valve stems, hubcentric rings, and lug nuts.

oh well...I'll leave this thread here for further informational purposes for others

I got a set of H&R ones from Discount when I bought my street wheels.

I also bought a set of them in steel from a local tire shop a few years back.. I felt a lot better about using steel than plastic. only problem I have with them is that I have to pull them off every few months, scuff them with emory cloth and keep a coat of grease on them.. otherwise they stick to the hub and are a biatch to remove the rotor.

I've found the metal ones often stick more than the plastic ones. And a straight razor blade (paint scraper type) works wonders with a screwdriver getting em off. I've gotten my front hubs over 400deg and never had a problem with the Gorilla plastic rings melting or anything yet.

Oh, and thinwall 19mm (or whichever) sockets are a must thesedays.

Good choice, I have the same

EDIT: I have Gorilla locking lugs and matching chrome lugs. I'd like to go with some slimmer, lighter lugs such as Greddy with black gorilla locking lugs hopefully soon.
