Question about wheel fitment

Will a 18x8 wheel with a 50 mm offset fit on a fourth gen? Or would that not clear the calipers? Just curious, don't know if any one has any experiece with running this high of an offset. Thanks for any advice.

that's pretty high. You can always use spacers to push them out though

Carson, you would be seriously pushing it with an offset like that..might not clear. Don't you have a BBK anyhow?

Best offset for a 4th gen with 18x8 is 35mm IMO....

get the right offset in the first place - spacers will work, but they would required extended lugs and, frankly, are just not as safe as the correct wheels.

what do you have in mind?

Josh,
No I do not have a BBK on the boosted car, but I am looking at some wheels for the beater. They are RX-8 stock five spoke wheels. Those are the dimensions. I am looking for a nice looking wheel with out paying the big bucks since it is suposed to be my beater....but then again I put a lot of money into a second gen Its just an idea at this point.

I know those wheels fit my wife's Mazda3 (stock offset of 55mm, I think)....I know for a fact her stock 17's will NOT clear my brakes on the maxima (I checked)....
