Nismo rims on smoke Maxima

I went to Performance Nissan in Duarte, CA to get some Alti SE-R pedals when I spooted this beautiful smoke Maxima with 19" Nismo rims. Awesome!!

Rims are ghastly expensive unfortunately. Check www.perfnissan.com for price but I think its about $3500 for the whole set up, cuz u have 19" tires and they used BFGs. It caught my eye lemme tell ya. Im glad I had my cam with me.

I saw the same setup at my delaer and it looked great, the problem is the $4500 price tag that it comes with...

you know a member here has those on his 6th gen, right?

A cheaper alternative (not much) is the Altima nismo wheels. They are the exact same specs as our wheels.

Looks good but not for that kind of cash. Plus he needs to drop it - hate the gap...

Thats brutal. I saw the same set of rims go for $1500 on Ebay, throw in $1100 for tires, throw in a $500 credit for the OEM rims and it shouldn't be more than $2100 or so.

You'd be better off buying them aftermarket, and selling the OEM ones privately.

$1500 for brand new NISMO 19 inch wheels on ebay? Aren't these wheels forged? $1500 sounds fishy for such an expensive rim....correct me if I am wrong

- I love those tires...BFG KDW2's are rated #1 on tirerack right now....must be a real good tire!

about 1900 for just rims and then you have to buy tires. I'd rather go after market

I could never justify that much dough for wheels for this car...I mean if they are like $5000 with tax..thats like 17% if the cars value on its wheels.

Yeah I went to the dealership a few months ago to look at them. They wanted $3500 for rims/tires. A little too much for me. I met a guy a few weeks later at a car wash with the same color 6th gen and same rims. It looked good but I believe he said he bought the car like that.

My dealer has one just like that sitting there waiting to be sold. Rediculious price though.

Dunno about forged rims or how expensive they should be. I remember thinking the seller had a reasonable rep. There were a few sets forsale back in December. I tried searching for old auctions but I guess its been purged out of their searchable database.

Tire size is perfect, is that 245/40?

Did the rims look better in person than in the picture by any chance?

The beauty is escaping me big time

I have mine on there dropped. I paid 1700 for just rims from a Nissan dealer in Chicago and sent to me. I then put 245/40/19's . They do only weight 20.8 lbs. Lighter than the stock 18's. They fit perfect...I love them, pkg cost me 2200 with tires and all. Well worth it.

2200 with tires ain't bad. People with Volks spend that kind of cash.

I think the Nismo rims look great on the 6th gen. Once dropped like VQMax's it really sets the car off.

I'm thinking of getting thease with some Falken Tires. What do you think? Has it improved the car responsiveness having thease lighter Nismos on your ride?

Thanks,
Kam

Just the fact that they weight less than the factory wheel, makes the car rev quicker, and gain speed quicker. Also the suspension is more responsive due to a lower unsprung weight. You will not be dissapointed.

DEUS,

how did that NISMO Gunmetal match the Smoke paintjob of the Max you took the photos off?
