you should be interested in how a tire PERFORMS and not LOOKS.

Second of all, if your not a noob then YOU COULD POST YOUR QUESTION IN THE CORRECT SECTION!

if you dont care how your tire looks igor then why didnt you buy the avon tech m500? rated best in its class, which would seem to say tis the best performing. to answer the question, you probably have to find some1 that has a set because most online stores dont carry off brand tires.

I had them on my SE rims before I switched to 18" M45 set. Check out my web page, I still have some pics with them on...

Decent performing summer tire, good handling on dry and wet, did not try them in snow, excellent price, look sharp clean, and thread pattern is sporty too, they are just over 23 lbs each which makes them one of the lightest in stock size...

And as the guys said, you chould have started this thread in tire forum

the avons are rated the best yes, but if you do your research you will find out that they are one of the heaviest sets of a/s tires out there. and people with performance in mind, which most orgers are, they dont want to add more unsprung weight that they need to. you can get a good performing tire that weighs less.

How much more can one same size tire weigh from another? I thought compressed air is what makes tires weigh more.

yep...those look like tires, for sure.

+1 to igor's comments...who cares what a tire looks like???? As long as it's round and black, it doesn't really matter.

I completely agree. I was just tryin to help the guy out.

I was looking for the best value possible when I got 'em, and my dad (who is a Hankook reseller) hooked me up with these for cheap. ('bout 80$ CAD each).

I might check out the Ventus series of performance tires. They were featured in Road & Track's MX-5 24hr challenge. For now, I'm enjoying my Kumho's. Go Koreans!
