And if ur asking because you want to get lighter rims, and if u get lighter rims does it make a difference? The answer is yes. I have 19 lb rims and I notice a clear difference off the line.

well im thinking of getting 18s for my gen4 but i dont know to either get oem ones or aftermark*** ones i can get Akita 18s for 860 shipped to my door and i guess the wheel weigh 27lbs without tires, i think thats kind of heavy, i would def lose performace with these from an oem 16"

If u care about performance, do NOT get heavier rims. Remember, rotating mass has a greater effect than non-rotating mass. So if u reduce ur rims by 40 lbs, that has a much greater effect than if u took 40 lbs out of the trunk by removing your spare tire.

They told you 30lbs? Maybe that was the shipping weight with boxes and all.

You see the chromed wheels in my sig? I sold those and weighed them at UPS before they shipped.

Chrome weight with 18” tires is 54lbs
18” chrome without tire weight is 27.64lbs

You would be surprised that the chromed OEMs are not that much heavier. Only a pound or two. That's why my initial posts puts the weight of the stock rim at 25-26lbs.
