The best tires

I have a 2003 maxima se with stock tires and rims , and they suck. I want some quite, comfortable tires, something very smooth. Then handleing comes in effect.
I will keep the stock rims with my new tires.

What are the best tires out there.

1 comfortable ride then Handling.
Im in NY there are alot of bumps.

check out tirerack.com the reviews on there are pretty reliable and plentiful. start there first to get an idea of what meets your style and price range.

I have 2002 SE and decided to go with the Avid V4S and couldn't happier with my decision. It is a quiet and comfortable tire without comprimising performance. My wife immediately noticed how smooth the car drives. For the price nothing comes close. If you want the most comfortable ride then go with the Turanza's(that's why it's a touring tire), but if want a great overall performing tire, get the AVID's(60,000 tread life how can you go wrong!!). Good luck

I second the vote for the Yoko's. I have about 7K on mine and love them. They took me throguh a rough winter and seem to be handling dry pvament even better. They are grippy, quiet, and best of all inexpensive.

Nitto

I'm in the market for some new rubber...

a tire dealer down the street has some Nitto NT-450's on sale

4 225/50 - 17 mounted/balanced for $399

4 225/45 - 17 for $329?

wondering ya'll thoughts on the NItto and if it was worth a damn or if
anybody even has em?

I'm looking at these Nitto's and the Nexxen N3000....but those things are made in Korea......

WARNING WARNING. What ever you do, don't buy NITTO 450. Worst tire in the world. Sure the grip like glue but they are so noisy you'd think your bearings were going bad, plus the sidewalls are to soft and you can feel them rolling over. Max psi is 44 and I have mine maxed out. These tires are pure garbage and I am replacing them with Avid s4. I hate driving my car with these tires.....Search the org and you'll see all the hate post on nitto 450

there is a lot of bad tires. there isn't many good ones. learning what is what from your own experince is not the best way. I say bridgestone SO3 is one of the best tires ever existed.

NT450s are supposedly crap.

I have a set of Toyo Proxes T1Rs and I love 'em. Sidewalls are a bit soft but the grip more than makes up for it.
