Any drawback to hub-centric rings?

Many rims require hub-centric rings for proper fitment. Are there any drawbacks to hub-centric rings? Should I try looking for rims that don't require those?

Thanks in advance!

Most aftermarket wheels will need hubcentric rings. I would recommend the metal ones vs the plastic rings. You have to go with a custom wheel to avoid hubcentric rings.
