245-45-17 on stock 02-03 rims?
I saw this car on ebay. I know its not recommended but I didn't think they would even fit.

They fit, but it's not safe to do so - especially if you're not adamant about keeping the pressures at higher levels to compensate. 235's are already a stretch and only a handful of tire manufacturers spec their rubber to fit on 7" wide rims.
If one gets in an accident caused by the wider rubber, it will be hard finding fault in others.
