Blown Tire

I'm rollin' down the highway at 80+ and blow a rear tire. Since my Maxima is under warranty does this include my tires? If not, do you think Goodyear will prorate my tire?

Not unless the Nissan technician was driving it. Depends if there is huge damage, which most likely there is at 80mph. Hopefully you are not SOL.

Tire not covered by warranty. All I can say is SE tires are expensive. $279 ea. The tire caused minimal damamge. Just some bent brackets around the wheel open I should be able to fix them myself.

If it was one of those Goodyear RS-A's.... those tires are crap anyway. There should be something in the stickies regarding these tires and their flaws. I ditched mine after seeing numerous cracks and splits in the sidewalls, and went with TOYO Proxes T1R's. Got em for 185 a piece including mount and balance.

Thanks for the heads up. I have not done the math, but I would have probably been better to replace all four thank to buy one tire, with the other three having 25K already on them.
