350z wheels with TPS on Maxima

I recently bought some 350z wheels with TPS from a 2003 Z (17" 6 spoke models) and put them on my Maxima. First of all, the difference in handling is awesome with the Potenzas. Bad reviews aside, these tires stick to the road like frat boys on a $5 stripper.

My question is...what to do with the tire pressure sensors?? Are these worth selling? Or doing something else with? I'm sure this has been addressed before but I can't find any threads on it.

Also, any recommendations on what tire pressure I should run these at?? Thanks

I can use them in my snow tires

I'll buy them all for $15 each plus shipping. I don't know what my dealer will charge to "re-initiate" the system, as the service writer put it - but it'll be worth it just to get the low tire pressure warning lite to go out when the snows are mounted!

You can PM or email me.

I'll keep that in mind. I'm not really even sure how to un-install them yet. I can't even say for sure they work, although the wheels and tires look brand new.

I got TPS with both of my sets of infiniti wheels....I'm sure they're sitting in a box someplace....I took them out.

BTW, the bad reviews of the Potenzas are for the RE92, which came stock on our cars. If you got 350Z OEM tires with the Z wheels, they are most likely the Potenza RE050, which is a much better tire. IIRC the Z never came with the RE92, thank God.

Wanna sell 'em? The constant dashboard reminder that I have no tire pressure at all may get a little annoying by mid-January.........

thanks for the insight on the Potenzas. mine are the RE050 with the stock Z wheels. picked them up for $525 shipped off ebay, supposedly less than 1000 miles on them. they still have the red markings in the tread and some of the stubbies. it's quite a difference from the Pirelli 205/60/15 that were on there. woohoo!!

Definitely worth selling.... You'll have to pay some place to remove the tire, then the TPS, and replace it with a normal valve stem. I paid $23/wheel for my back 2 wheels when I had my RE040's mounted.

mine are the RE050 with the stock Z wheels
Unfortunately for me, my RE040's drone at any speed over 15...

Ok, I looked around and can only find three of them. If you want them, I'll do it for $35 shipped.

I looked a second time for the 4th one, but it seems to have disappeared into the oblivion of my workshop/basement. If you want the three, you can probably buy a single one from Infiniti or ebay.....and if I ever run across the 4th one I'll just send it to you for free (not promising anything, though)....

Here's some pics so you can confirm these are what you're looking for. I've never used them, but assume they work since they came off an almost-brand-new G35.

Infiniti uses a few different TPM types

The only one that will work with the Z system (according to the parts manager at my selling dealer) is part number 40700CD001. He says the part number is in the plastic itself. Are your units this part #?

Thanks, but I didn't find a single yet and I was offered a complete set over the weekend so I took them.
