wheel spacers

i have 18x7.5 inch rims with a 42mm offset and 245/40/18 tires. how do i figure out what size wheel spacers i need front and rear?

You don't need anythinmg, but it will look better than stock.

From other posters, I got the impression that using spacers were not good. I'm trying to use spacers to fit rims that don't fit my car normally. (ex. fitting 5x120 onto my 5x114.3) What do you guys think?
