mounting 6th gen wheels on 5th gen

I may get a good deal on goodyear 245/45/18 on 2006 Maxima rims. What do I need to know to mount these on my 2000 (currently 17" with stock suspension)?

Thanks

This question has been posted quite a few times already. From what I've read the wheels will fit on your car just fine but the size of the tires are a bit big in the rear and you might rub a bit on big bumps. HTH

^ +1 To what he said... I have G35 18's and 245/45's in the rear rubbed considerably in my car... especially if I had someone in the back.

no offset/spacer issues to deal with? Just bolt on and listen for rubbing?

Yep, they'll bolt up just fine. You could add spacers if you wanted but that's totally up to you.

Don't mean to jack your thread ODB but I just bought a set of 6th gen 18s with stock tires... My 2K1 Max is dropped on K-Sports (1.5" front/1" rear). Will I have rubbing issues with 245/45/18 stock size if I decide to keep the tires?

You'll most likely have rubbing problems, especially in the rear. I had bad rubbin with that size in the rear and I have no drop...
