235/60/15

Do any of you think,or have tried to fit 235/60/15's on the 4th gen steelies, which are 15x6's. I dont really want to spend money on rims if I can get some drag radials to fit on the steelies. I'm looking into getting the Mickey Thompson ET street radials but I want to make sure this size fits

For drag racing it will be ok, but those are pretty large. Just dont try and take any corners.

What other options would I have with the steelies?? I really dont want to get complete slicks because I dont want to go through the hastle of getting to the track, removing street tires, and putting on slicks... besides, Its usually me, my girlfriend, and our girl that go in my car, and I wouldnt have anywhere to store them while I race.

225/50/15 is the norm. There isnt much to choose from for DR's. Look at Nitto 555r, BFG DR's, Hoosier, etc.
http://www.sstire.com/tireheights.html Check that to see other sizes depending on which way you want to go gearing wise and whats available. Stock diameter is around 25-25.5".

Isnt the the stock size 205/65/15?? I remember having them and when I check on discount tire direct, it also shows that size? That looks like more of the size for the 16 inch alloy wheels.

You'd have a heck of a time fitting that tire on that wheel I think but it could probably be done.

Stock 4th gens are 205/65/15, 215/60/15, or 215/55/16. The problem is lack of selection in radials. Its very tough to find a dedicated race tire thats DOT legal and close to the stock size. Many budget setups have light weight 15" wheel such as the Millenia wheel with the widest tire that fits. That ends up being 225/50/15. Going smaller is ok if you need some extra pep and are not making too much power for that size. Going bigger is ok if you dont want shift into the next gear or need the bigger size for traction.
