Kook RS2s = God.

well.. first impressions, at least. Tons of grip.

Will take it out tomorrow for a bit more testing and maybe some pictures. They mighty good lookin' tires.

Funny, my car actually got stuck on the lift... the LTBII caught a little cylinder down there somewhere and I nearly fried the clutch (they had me drive it, smart bastards) trying to get it on some boards to lift it up. They thought the LTB was a sway bar...

The RS2 Z212 is a great deal....excellent dry performance, ok in the rain, and as you said, tons of grip. There's a reason that the RS2 is a very popular autocross tire, as it is comparable in grip to the popular falken azenis.

but if you REALLY want good grip...

'kook rs2's shaved to 4/32" (terrible for rain, but awesome in the dry...my autocross tires).

Yeah, I know you run shaved kooks. I just need to get the most performance*life out of mine that I can... I'm running them for everything, haha.

I've heard great things about these from fellow AutoX'ers. Just doesn't work for my application b/c of limited available sizes. I'm running 275/40/17 r-comp rubber on 17x9 all around at this point.

no autocrossing up here, so i need traction for the regular paved streets. or drag strips.

autocross courses = made of concrete/blacktop
regular paved streets = made of concrete/blacktop

traction on one = traction on the other.

I'm going to run my shaved RS2's again in 2 weeks before I make the switch over to Falken. GRM's latest May tire test again puts the RT-615 out in front of everything else. .7sec is an eternity I'm not willing to give up. They are an excellent street tire and grip on par with both the KD, MX and almost the Neova.

By Kook, do you mean Hankook? I've only ever run BFG and Nitto on my cars and I'm kind of illiterate about some other brands. How much do you think these would run in 235/40/18?
