Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
225/50-16 4.4in 12.4in 24.9in 78.1in 811 0.0%
235/55-17 5.1in 13.6in 27.2in 85.4in 742 9.3%
The 225's are what I am running now. Are the 55's on a 17 just too tall?

well the 235's are 10mm wider and the sidewall is even larger than the 225's, so they will be pretty tall. the 235's will fit, but for comparison, 225/50 17 gives the right speedo reading for my car(2002). probly about the same if not smaller for you.

The 17's have a 45mm offset opposed to the 50mm offset I have on the Mazda wheels so inside clearance should not be an issue. I am primarily wondering about rubbing on the fenders, however I will be on stock suspension soon so that should leave PLENTY of room (FTL).

Ha, that's funny, I think SE 16s retail for more than that.

Anyway a few questions:

1) ditching the 16s?

2) stock suspension?

Sexplain please.

well im nowhere near rubbing on the outside either, in fact i could fit 20mm spacers in the back and 10mm in the front. nowhere near rubbing

There was a local guy with dealer take-off's for around $400. I went to a Ford dealership today and the 17's are a good 1-1.5 inches taller. The amount of room in the Mustangs wheel wells is HUGE!

They surely would have rubber under hard cornering, like dangerously.

- selling the 16x8's and the Tein/AGX to put into new suspension setup and possibly some Q/J brakes.

I haven't posted them here because they have gotten alot of local interest (apparently they are a hot item on probes and mx6s). I literally have TOO many people interested right now to keep up with emails and such.

I would sell for around 300 on here if I put them up.
