Wheel Balancing question?

I bought my falken 512s at Americas Tire co...they do lifetime rotations, computer balancing, flat repairs, etc...and I just rolled over my first due date for the tires to be serviced...

do I really need to get my tires checked to see if they are still in balanced? I can just rotate the tires myself at home...this particular America's Tire gets really busy...and I don't have time to stop by because my work hours is during their work hours...from what I know, you only get them re-balanced if you experience a shimmy in the steering wheel at higher speeds...but other than that, the tires are perfectly fine and theres no point in taking it in to re-balance....

Am I right or wrong? Thanks in advanced

Chances are you only need to rotate them. If you dont have any vibrations then dont sweat it. It *could* extend the life of the tire by rebalancing them, so if you have time it wont hurt if its free. Dont lose sleep either way.
