bolt pattern

Are the bolt patterns the same on all maximas?

What offsets work best on 4/5 gen maximas

Bolt pattern is the same for 4 & 5 gens. 5x114.3

In order to keep the wheels looking flush, and NOT have a staggered set-up, you need spacers. It also depends on wheel width.

Bolt pattern is the same on 6th Gens too.

For 5th Gens, and assuming an 8" wide rim, the offset that gets you most flush with the fender is in the 30-40 mm range.

And FYI, 5th Gen stock 17x7s are +45 mm.

Sweet, so my rims off of my STi could go on a maxima... how flush would 17x8 +48 look?

Hmmm... still tucked I think. It'd probably look better with 10 or 15 mm spacers.

Btw, what rims?

Actually....your backwards. only the 2004 STi had 5x100.

Subaru changed the cars to have different hubs because the STi was too agressive for the hubs on RA-C platform. So they beefed up the car with 17x8 rims and the larger 5x114.3 hubs.

Thanks for jogging my memory though

Other way around.

Early STi's had 5x100. 05+ STi's had 5x114.3

The boosts are for sale. $250 bucks. They are not perfect though, the dog scratched them a bit, just surface scratches. I havent tried to buff them out yet.

no not from ebay. and for $1099 shipped, they are so nice indeed

It would still be tucked in, although not as bad as the OEM. Use this calculator to compare your existing set-up with the aftermarket one. If you have an image editor, copy both left and right images and overlay at the mounting pad point. That'll give you an idea as to where the new wheel will sit compared to your existing set-up.
