enkei rs7

i wanted to get the 18" enkei rs7 from edge racing. but they only have 18x7.5. would 235/40/18 be a good size? since it comes with the package. or 225/45/18 would fit nicely? does any one have a pic of 18x7.5 rim on a 235/40/18 tires? i just wanted to see how they look. thanks.

235/40 should be alright on a 7.5J rim (235/45s are slightly stretched outwards on a the stock 17*7J). However your rolling diameter will be slightly lower.

If I were you I'd go for some 18*8.5J or 18*9J RPF1s...

Bit more $ though.

You were thinking of the RPF1-type RC (22lbs and $500 apiece). These are about $280 shipped apiece, plus they come in wider than 7.5J.

7.5J - 17lbs
8J - 18lbs
8.5J - 18.3lbs

Plus they look great if you get 'em in the right offset (so the spokes don't bulge):

Eh, if you don't dig it then what can you do. I thought that was the best part.

Anyway you should be okay with 235/40s on a 7.5J.

Looks pretty good to me.

These are IIRC 9J front and 9.5J rear. Car is Larrio's.

I think he said those had to be special ordered, but they were both in the +3x offset range.

Keep in mind Z32drifter's fronts with the bulge are 17x8.5 +40. You'd be taking a bit of a gamble if you got 18x8.5 +30 IMO. If I were you I'd either try and get ahold of a distributor and ask them about that specific wheel, or see if I could find some pictures of the 18x8.5 +30 on a car somewhere.

well the 18" g35 wheels are 18x8 with 30mm offset and they look perfect on the 5th gen. would 18x8.5 30mm stick out too much? edge racing has a 18x8 with 35mm offset, but it seems like it still has a little bulge on them.

They'd stick out a tiny bit, but you're not going to notice the extra 1/4" of protrusion/front spacing. I'd be more worried about clearance than looks.

clearance? you mean breaks or sticking out of the wheel well? so i guess the safest is to go 18x8 with 35mm huh?

I mean more about them scraping your fenders if you're lowered.

If you don't want the bulge I wouldn't go below an 8.5J though.

i see what your saying. if 18x8 with 30mm dont scrape, i think 18x8.5 with 30mm wouldnt either, but not for sure. most likely i probably go with 235/40/18 tires.

edit: ok i just did the offset calculator and the wheels will stick out 34mm. in inches its roughly 1.3 inches. i just read someone running 19x8.5 with 35mm offset and do not rub.
