there's a local guy with these lightweight nice rims, good price, anyone know if these will fit.

I can take measurements, but I'm more wondering if it's been done or not.

They'll likely stick out some. You can probably check how much using the wheel/tire calc in the Stickies.

OT, and I know you already know this, but > 8" wide rims will take you out of STS, STX and into SP or SM wouldn't it?

Not to say you can't handle it or anything....

They'll fit, but they're going to stick out quite noticeably (probably about an inch). What are they?

I think they're weapons, I can't find the original email from this guy anymore, I must have accidently deleted it.

A little fender rolling can probably go a long way.......

I rub quite a bit with my 35ET with 245/45/18's so you won't be able to get away with rubbing on the front fenders on dips (rear fender lip will require cutting)... unless you have very limited suspension travel...

I was thinking about getting a set of them too because of their low price and aggressive offsets. If you're paying more than 400 for a used set, you are paying too much. I was planning on going with 17x9 +17 in rear and +27 in front. You WILL need to roll your rear fenders and assuming you go with +27 all around, you may be able run a 255 tire in the rear and not rub. My 17x9 +34 w/255's have a tiny bit of room left. Front will need to run a smaller tire with some negative camber to get it underneath the fenders.

I think the price was 425-450, again, I stupidly deleted the email.

20lbs for a 17x9J isn't too light. I'd look into Falken Hanabis if I were you. They're a little more but should be lighter.

Here's a 17x9 +34 with a 255/40 it sticks out but never rubbed. They did rub in the rear over high speed dips... trim or roll rear fenders. A +27 is going to be out another 7mm ... I'd pass on that set.

Get 'em, then get some 25mm spacers and run a 185-section tire.
