Any reviews on Falken Ziex Ze-912?
Previously I was planning on rotating a bad unevenly worn front tire to the rear... and the rears to the front. However, I have since made a change of plans and want to get new tires.
I have been running ContiExtremeContacts which are good , except for the fact that they do flatspot for me. Which does get to me after awhile.
I was wondering if anyone has tried the new Falkens and is able to give me some feedback regarding them. I live in NY, and we do get snow... so snow traction is important, as i've read some bad things regarding the old Falken 512's in snow.
The tire size i'm looking at is the stock 215/55-16 on the stock 5 spokes.
Thanks

I haven't seen any reviews either, but judging by what I've seen about that tire and the new 912, and what I know about Falken as a company, I don't think we'll be able to tell how it'll do by looking at the 512.
Are Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Positions out of your price range?

Thanks for the replies all. As for another set of tires, i'm really trying to lean away from that at the moment.
As for Falken's being 50%+ worn out and doing poorly in snow... that's not exactly great
For the RE960AS, read some reviews on those about snow too.. doesn't seem to be that good either... As for pricing, yah, i'm also trying to keep it to a max of around $100 per tire. However, if the tire warrents the extra cash, I just might get it
I haven't really seen too many reviews on Proxies 4 for snow though. Just seems like people like them for dry and wet...

About the only all-season tire that MIGHT be better in the snow is the ContiExtremeContact.

All seasons should only be used in emergency snow conditions IMO, run dedicated snow tires to get the best performance.
With UHPAS you sacrifice somewhere, and that area of sacrifice is usually the snow/ice performance...
Irish is on the right track, buy something like the proxes 4 (which I have, great tire though I've never used it in the snow) and something else...
