ideally, you want to go fairly narrow. DEFINITELY do not go with 265's lol....

personally, I wouldn't put snow tires on 18s, because you want more sidewall in the winter. Even my 17s are larger than I would like to have, but I'm constrained by the size of my brakes. If I were you I'd get some 225/50/17 and put them on your stock wheels.

If you must go 18's, I'd get some 225/45/18 or something like that...

thanks for the reply josh...well see the problem is.. i picked up some 06 murano wheels for 250 brand new... i was looking for some stock 17's 02/03 but i found those wheels mint for that price and couldnt pass them up.. so i have no choice at this point.. and i traded my 16" stockers for some 05 max wheels and summer tires.(need to update my sig pic lol).so .. im kinda stuck with 18"'s lol...but ill start the hunt for some good winter tires.....

You DO have a choice the way I see it. It's not going to snow in CT any time soon... and there is no rule that you have to keep the Murano wheels. Worst case, you break even. Best case, you make a nice profit.

I suggest going no wider than 215 for snows. (I have 225/55R16s and IMO they are too wide).

I run 225/50/17 and I've never had a problem.....and I seek out snow in the winter, because that's where the skiing is

I've never had any either, but there have been times when I felt the car laboring to plough through heavy snow.
