This offset okay??

I am looking to by some Motegi DP5's or something 17x7 wheels with a +42 offset...

Is that okay for a stock 92 Maxima?? My real question I gues is how different is the +42 offset compared to the stock +35 (as it looks on a car).

The wheels have 205/50/ZR17 tires... the tire calculator shows them to be 1.7% smaller than stock in the total height which is okay by me! Just curious how offset will affect it... Thank you!

just means they will sit in more... would be better to get them in 33-35ish but you could always add a spacer or just deal with them sitting in a bit more... with proper sized tire i couldn't see any issues with hitting the strut body.. not a big difference in offset

yah, I ran a calculator and it said it would be in 1 mm from where the stock wheel outside edge was and the inner wheel would be 13 mm closer to the strut housing... but... spacers could solve any problems I bet... thank you!
