throw me some good lightweight 18" suggestions
looking for lightweight 18" wheels that cost no more than $250 a rim. they must look good on the max and be lightweight (under 20lbs). i like the SSR type c's but those are a pretty penny. please post pics as well as make & model if u have anything in mind. its time to ditch the big shoes and maximize boost
please dont trash thread by posting some $600 volks. i dont have any money to spend on wheels, just want to ditch the 19's for new 18's + tires without reaching for the wallet.

5zigen fn01r-c is about the only wheel that fits that description that pops into my head. lightweight, cheap, and good looking is what everyone wants and there is a reason that very few people end up with all 3...

57lbs lol that is crazy. i can't imagine that (actually I can because I've changed heavier wheel and tire combos on other cars, but it's ridiculous how much effort it is compared to changing a 35lb combo) but I can't imagine it on a maxima.
maybe some Rota wheels too, though I doubt they make them wide enough for your taste.

honestly im seriously thinkin about the sport edition kv5 (evo5 knock offs) on tire rack. 18x8 @ 23 lbs. with tires its less than 40 lbs. all of that with summitomo tires @ 956 shipped. thats a bargain, just want to know if there is anything better out there.

i was gonna say the sport editions, but they are not light. what about the guy selling the nismo altima 18s for 999 shipped? you would need spacers for 45 mm offset. not my style but they are light (17.6 lbs) and are forged 1 pc.

Get the rims I got, Enkei RPM2s 18x8 only 19.4lbs and they were not more than 250 per wheel.

I have them and I like them... I just wanted something to replace the beat to hell stockers I had on my 00' and I did not want to pay to much (sick of spending money on the Max).
You can't beat the deal, BUT if weight is a huge concern, they are not the best choice.

Enkei NT03-M... $250/rim for the 7.5" and weigh 18lbs. I came VERY close to getting them, and to me they look sharp. That should be a drastic drop in weight, and you have 2 finishes to choose from in that size.

well, I was keeping price in consideration. If you want them 8.5" then I highly recommend GoodYear Eagle F1 A/S tires. 245/40ZR18s fit the bill and have awesome grip for cheaper than some of the others.

If you can get your hands on four fronts they would fit fine, but if you REALLY wanted too, you can make them fit easily, fender roll, slight pull, and slightly stretched tires...wouldn't stagger anyways...

They will be light for their size, but expect nearly the same weight as your old setup if they are forged..
Edit: They are forged, weight in the link, 22 front/25 rear...they can fit in the rear with stretched tires, if you really like them and want to avoid body mods, 245/40s or even 235s in the rear, same in front with a tad negative camber...

Look for something used if you want something ultralight, its going to be a little harder finding something in that price range new...
Edit: rays track editions come on mang, example

You can buy the four fronts, and paint them like this, similar to Volk time attacks, looks badass...

I can't find the original thread with the actual 03 rays wheel painted, but it looked sick trust me, plus they are very abundant and cheap...

03 tracks are really not that light either, similar cast wheels can weigh around the same, thats what i was getting at. As far as suggesting tracks, wasn't a repost, I was merely supporting your suggestion

Glad to see you're finally getting rid of your boat anchors..... Funny you started this thread. Josh and I had our 'lightweight' wheel threads too....
This doesn't add up. Where are you getting your tire weights Mike? When I researched tire weights, I found them to be between 21 and 25 pounds in the 18" range. I think a total of 46 lb is more realistic in your example above.
Good luck finding those new. I searched the earth for those right as SSR went under. I only managed to find two rims.......
However, now that SSR is back under new management, there are new SSR's that are out and look very, very similiar to the competitions...Pick up any car mag and flip through the first few pages.
Whatever you decide, make sure they clear your BBK (preferably w/o spacers) and don't rub your fenders. Sliced tires FTL.

Cast wheels can be similar weight but they won't be nearly as strong. The Z tracks are the best bang for the buck you can buy. Other than the G coupe forged 19s I have hehe.
Best thing? They clear bbks w/o spacers. Try to find some light cast wheels that do that.

Though I do agree with you, they are the best bang for the buck for what he wants....I was merely commenting on their less (or more) than stellar weight for being forged
