4th gen with 19" G35 Rays Tire Suggestions...
I just picked up a set of G35 19" Rays, and the rear Potenzas are completely bald. The front Potenzas still have some life left in them, but I am looking for a good tire to go on the rear. Right now I have stock suspension, but will be lowering between 1.5 and 2.0 inches by spring when I actually put the rims on. Here are a few questions:
1. Will the stock size 245/40/19 rub in the rear when lowered?
2. What size diameter tire do you recommend...245, 255, etc.?
3. What brand?
Thanks in advance.
Matt

8" up front
8.5" in back
Im looking at cheaping out right now and getting used OEMs with 40% left for about $150. I just dont want to rub when I drop my car.

theres no need to go so wide in the rear unless you are going purely for looks. 245/35/19 is a good size for you. 255 may cause you to rub, because that is fairly wide to top it off on a 19" rim.

Only reason why I ask about the 255/35/19 is because I can get a decent set used for a fraction of the price. I can also get the 245/40/19s a a good price too. I haven't dropped the car yet, so I am still clueless as to how badly they can/will rub.
So with that said, 245/40 or 255/35? Im leaning towards the 255/35...
Sorry for all the newb questions...im still new in this field.

I'd stick with 245/35s, but you can probably squeeze 255/35s on there if they are 8.5" (will be a tight fit though).
245/40 is too tall a tire for a 19", ideally you'd be at like 245/33 but they don't make those.

I put them on the car to see how they would look a few weeks back, and did not like the look, and is why I am selling. You can see in this picture, that the front does stick out a little bit (30mm offset) and the rears are flush (33 offset).
