I think 19" should hide it better than 18. I had 18" no drop and I was all 4x4 in the front but back was perfect.

The larger the wheel, the higher the illusion of wheel gap.

For the OP:
Try 245-45-18.

True because I went from 16" to 18" and damn 5finger gap was still there. I said I think cuz I saw a stock with 19" rays and it wasn't as bad as 18". But larger sidewall should help also.

I dont think 245/45/18 with 30mm offset in the front is gonna work well.

I'm wearing 8.5" wide, + 28 offset in the front, on S-techs and it's doing well. So, I would imagine the fact that I am lowered on S-techs (~ 2" ) it would qualify me as an example, and pose a relevant theory that he will be ok since the 245-45's are roughly an inch taller than mine (245-40), but to offset that, I'm 2" lower.

I wouldn't go for 245/45/18... I had the OEM sizes when I got my 18's (225/45 front, 245/45 rear) and rubbed in the rear with no weight (excluding 2 12's in the trunk). Rubbed like crazy with anyone else but me in the car. 235/40/18 is the perfect size, and I'm sure you'll drop the car before you need new tires (provided you buy them new).

But, 245 will fill in the rear wheel well nicely...

225/45 up front, 245/45 in the rear. But, keep in mind, the front wheel well is .75" or so taller than the rear...

That's wild. I have 245-40-18s all around w/ Z33 Tracks (33mm offset/8.5" wide, + 15mm spacers rear/5mm fronts, Progress springs rear, S-Techs front) and only rub on huge bumps on the rear passenger side due to my beam out of center.

sounds like something is up. 245 45 18 shouldn't rub with no load. thats crazy.

nmex max barely rubs with progress rears, i don't see how a stock 4 wheeling maxima will rub on stock suspension with no load... its crazy! its crazy! its crazy!

oh yeah, another thing,

its crazy!

but does anyone else think so?

Never really thought about it, but now that I do think about it, I still haven't centered my rear beam... I need to do that soon.
