TE37s 18x8.5 +50... Will it fit my rears?

Hi There,

I've found a set of staggered Bronze Rays TE37 front is 18x7.5 +48 with 225/40 18 tires, and the rears are 18x8.5 +50 with 255/35 18. I am currently running 18x7.5 +45 with 225/40 18 tires and I have no rubbing issues. I have also installed 15mm spacer to clear my Wilwood BBK. Now my concern is will the rears rub? I don't think I will have any issues with my fronts, but I'm concerned that the inner portion of the rear will rub against my suspension. Some additional info: I'm lowered on D2s with about a 2.75" drop.

edit: Using the offset calculator, compared to my current setup, I will have 18mm less inner clearance from the suspension and the outer face will extend 8mm....Do you think 18mm less inner clearance is too much?

Anyone have experience with such a high offset with a wide tire?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

You will want spacers anyway in order for them to be anything resembling flush.

I'm planning on installing a rear BBK with Matty's rear parking brake conversion so I will be installing spacers as well....but in the mean time, I was wondering if it will clear untill I get the BBK and the spacers late next summer.

you'll be fine as far as clearance goes, but you're looking at a pretty big spacer (~1"). i personally would pass on them. a well fitting wheel would look so much better (not just the flushness but the effect offset has on the dimensions/look of the wheel).

Do you mean I'll be fine without the spacer? I think I'll be okay with a 15mm spacer, but I won't be installing my BBK and spacers for several months....I'm just wondering if I will be able to ride on them without the spacers.

you'll have 2mm less inner clearance than my 9.5 +35mm, so you will be fine. when it comes time for spacers you are looking at 25mm to get flush/close to flush. but like i said, i would pass.

Awesome! That makes me feel more confortable in investing in the rims. I measured the distance from my outer face to the fender (rears) and I'm tucked in 30mm. So with a 15mm spacer, it will push the new rays to 23mm....so i won't be completely flush, but I'll be close....

Just had to step in here and ask my fellow VIP'er brother (BlackonBlack98), how much inner clearance do you have with the +35 9.5"?

not sure, i wasn't there for the test fit. but i know he jacked the suspension way up into the body, which is more than your average joe should need.
