Anyone know how to polish wheels?

This is for my Camaro, but I figured somoene might still be able to help.

I let my wheels sit for far too long without cleaning them so I am trying to re-polish them. I looked through the FAQ (CZ28.com) up top and everything talks about stripping the wheel first, I do not want to have to do that since my wheels were already polished. I just want to bring back that nice clean look.

I did one wheel and it took me about 45minutes. There are still some imperfections but for my first time I guess it's not that bad. Any tips you guys may have would be appreciated.

I've heard something about soda and tin foil to help remove brake dust deposits and what not, but that was a suggestion from a friend with chrome wheels, would it work on polished wheels the same?

Anyways here is what my 45minutes did...

A buffer wheel will cut down on time...

Attach it to a drill, and buff away with the Mothers Metal Polish. They're only $3 at Harbor Freight.
