wheels and rims guide for the hot sticky season :)

the hot sticky roads are getting closer and i need some help picking out some tires and rims for my 98 maxima gle.
SIZE: im looking into 17"
WEIGHT: i am hoping to have them under 16lbs as I want to balance the weight for the additional weight of my sub in the trunk
LOOK: My max is black on black with silver outline on windows and door handles. So im thinking of going with black rims with a silver or red lip.
PRICE: Don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on them either. Less than $2000 is what I would like to spend.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

check tirerack to get an idea how certain rims would look on your car.

Lower it on H&Rs or at least 5 speed SE springs, 17s will really look kinda ghey otherwise.

As for weight, off the top of my head (prices are per wheel and weights vary based on width and offset):

Cast:
Falken Hanabi............. ~$100, ~17lbs, 8 pinwheel-spokes
Rota Subzero.............. ~$100, ~17lbs, 5 split-spokes
5zigen FN01R-C.......... ~$200, ~17lbs, 5 spoke
Enkei RP-F1............... ~$250, ~15lbs, 6 split-spokes

Forged:
Motegi Traklite............ ~$300, ~14lbs, 5 spoke
Motegi Traklite 2......... ~$300, ~14lbs, 6 spoke
SSR competition/type-c ~$500, ~13lbs, 6 spoke

LOTS of choices for 17" wheels in that 2g price range but MorpheusZero listed the better of the choices.

Get some used 17in SSR-Cs if you can find some and slap on some Toyo T1rs...

And you'll definitely want a drop. Eibachs would still leave you with plenty of clearance.

I'm dropped on eibachs and snow is no problem. As long as you have good all-season, or better yet, snow tires, you'll be fine.

you will be fine with a 245. no drop = no rubbing, no sticking out.
