225/45/18in tires ON A 18x9 rim??

i have 255-30's in the rear now with a sport drop and dont have any rubbing or clearance problems.
so since i have to change my rear tires since there almost done i rather go for a stretched look like on my dub plus the tires would be way cheaper.
so im guessing 225-40's for the front 18x8
and 235-40's for the rear 18x9 ??

stretching tires because you are so low and running well fitting wheels means you are cool. in the op's case i would say don't do it since you are not experiencing any problems with your current setup.

just get the right size (255 or larger). 225 or 235 is good for the front. you're not low enough to necessitate stretch.
its already hard enough on us stretch guys, don't make it worse by doing it for no reason.

You shouldn't have rubbing issues with even a 245 tire assuming you aren't going lower than 1.5". However, if you decide to stretch, watch those lips. One curb and say goodbye to your wheel.

check my sig.
245 45 18
but i guesss im 18X8 idk 4 sure
personally i dont like it, i had to roll rear fenders and they still rub, front rubs when bottom out. and when turn kinda rubs splash
im lowered on maxspeed, and stock struts
edit, jus realised the sig pic was stock rear springs. its fine on stock springs but not maxspeeds, jus havent switched back yet

actually just to correct u the idea of stretching tires is to provide better turn in response(less sidewall flex), its common, look at a 350Z OEM front tires, u will find that they are slightly stretched, the vdub people took it too the extreme with like 205s on a 10" wide wheel
