Blowout!!! Need advice on 225/50/17's....URGENT!

Hey guys,

I can find no information through searching or hitting up the faq, the faq is where I started and had some good info posted but when you click on the hyperlink it just directs you somewhere to something completely irrelevant.

Anyways, I just blew out a tire on the interstate and need some help, I'm looking for the best all around tire for the money for a 60-80K mile tire. Not really interested in running it on the track or racing it. Just a good all around tire that has good hydroplane resistance and can handle a little snow sometimes. I really need some help, I have to order these tires quick. Any recommendations???????

Also, is the 225/50 the best setup for my car? Or can I go with something ever so slightly larger for driving comfort???? (I have a bad back) I understand this could change the speedo, etc.

"Please help Obi-Wan Kinobi's....you're my only help!!!"

tirerack.com has thousands of reviews...

discounttiredirect.com has free shipping.

I am driving on COOPER ASX tires and they have extremely good traction and treadwear, but are also VERY loud.
though I cant speculate on snow performance because i live in florida (yea, all season tires in florida....i know. shut your mouth)

^^Lol! Definitely don't want a noisy tire, I do a LOT of interstate driving. Thanks for the website, I've actually been on both of those for most of the morning but can't come close to any decisions right now.

I'M STILL IN A QUANDRY!!! HA!

any A/S tire will be sufficient. tirerack.com will have some good choices.
a couple suggestions: Kumho ASX, General Exclaim UHP, Toyo Proxes4, Yokohama Avids, Bridgestone RE950s... etc.

when did you get the car? do suspension mods first... and then performance. strut bar, kyb/ tokico shocks (illuminas).... check ebay for some LED dome lights... make the interior light stand out. Greddy Catback Evo 2 Exhaust. a flowmaster series 40 muffler... you will be good for a while.. and a body kit later if you want.
