Hub Centric Rings
Hub Centric Rings
What up guys. I need to get some hub centric rings but I'm not sure what size I need. How can I figure that out? I have an 04 with Foose Spank 5 rims 20 x 8.5. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Measure the diameter of the center of the wheel, most aftermarket wheels have a 73mm center bore. you could also contact Foose, I'm sure they can tell you the center bore or sell you hub rings.
I ran brand new balanced wheels with no hubcentric rings and had a shake at 40mph or above, installed the rings and no shakes at any speed. Ive ran them on all of my aftermarket wheels without a problem.
So if the aftermarket wheels are drilled lug-centric, and the shop balances them hub-centric you can see how not using hub rings could cause an vibration.
Can anyone think of a modern lug-centric car??? I can't.
Umm no. our cars were designed around hub centric wheels. removing the rings only causes problems.
That assumes you have quality rings though. don't mess with those cheap plastic ones. spend a few extra bucks and pick up some aluminum or steel ones at a good wheel shop. I've had the set on my Maxima for 8-9 years now and never had a problem with them. Every now and then I'd take them off to clean the wheels or whatever and I'd wind up with a vibration. Put the ring back in and smooth sailing.
Try listening to people that make sense every now and then, not noobs that come on here and start talking out their ****.
Proven time after time?

lol! I was just looking at this and then at the bottom the google add was
"DO YOU HAVE VIBRATION IN YOUR NEW WHEELS?"
Use hubcentric Rings to install your aftermarket wheels
on your car, hubcentricly helping to fix your vibrations.
Justforwheels.com "we also have tuner wheel locks"
noice.
