225/45/18 on a 18x8.5?

Ive got a set of 350z anniversary wheels 18x8 in front and 18x8.5 in the rear.
I know a 225/45/18 goes on the front. Would that same size tire fit on the rear (18x8.5)
Thanks in advance.

yeah 235.
225 would require some stretching

ive got 225s on my g35c's right now and they are a little stretched (horrible wear). a 235 will be much better on a 8" wide wheel and especially on an 8.5"

245/40/18 all round. Even 235/40s will look a little thin and stretched on the 8.5 wide. Of course, unless that's the look you're going for.

i vote 245/40/18 all round. If the rim has a lip,225 will leave it sticking out.

what does stretch have to do with wear? might want to check your toe and, to a lesser extent, camber.

225 on an 8 is perfect imo, depending on the tire make and desired fit of course. i have a 215 that's as big as another 235 so take recommendations with a grain of salt. sizes don't apply across the board, even though they should.

Just a question, whats on the stock 18s for the maxima? So you think the 245/40/18s would be the best for a 18" rim?

235 all around is a good idea i think. 225 should fit on the 8.5", but it is smarter to go a little bigger
