Well the 06 has 18x7.5 rims & the new 09s wear the 18x8. If the 09s can use 18x7.5, then can we assume the 06s can use the 18x8?

In other words if the new 09 can take the old rim size, can the old 06 take the new rim size?

does tirerack have aftermarket 18x8 in addition to the 18x7.5 for the 09 & 06?

Yes they can be interchanged. I know many people on here use rims with 9 and 9.5 widths on their Maxes. But you will definitely be okay if you use 7.5 and 8.

About Tirerack, they should carry those wheels, just go and check to find out.

Also, does the 18x8 put more rubber on the road vs the 18x7.5 with the exact same tire 245/45-18 ?
