Back tires rubbing

I just got a pair of 7 spoke g35 rims on my 00 SE, they are 245/45/18 with an offset of 30 and they are rubbing on stock shocks and springs when i go over bumps at mid speeds. Any suggestion on why they are rubbing many people said they will fit with no rubbing. Wondering if it could be because of poor performance with the stock springs or shocks? Any ideas would be appreciated....

I think the way the car is sitting on stock springs, front higher then rear, makes the rear come down more when going over bumps. Have you located where its rubbing exactly?

Too much tire. Run a 40 sidewall instead. (245/40/18) G35s have more fender area to work with so they can use a more meaty tire. I had the same issue with a set of 18s with simialar specs to the G wheels.

I had the same problem and it's the outside of the rear tire rubbing the inside of the rear fender. IMO, 245/40/18 is the way to go. I went that route and had no issues at all. I lowered my car 2" F/R and it only rubs with a 4 people in it or when I hit a big dip at decent speeds, not so much at quick, harsh bumps.

Thanks everybody i got to make a decision to either go to 225 45 18 or 245 40 18, not sure yet. I am leaning towards 245 40 18, i like thicker tires.

The only reason i went 225/45/18 is because I already had the two fronts with alot of tread on them. So, I only had to buy two instead of four. It saved money.
