4th gen wheels and tires question

I have a 97 Maxima. It has the stock 15" steel wheels and hubcaps.
My father in law just gave me a set of 16" Konig alloy rims that came off of his 2001 Mitsubishi Gallant.
I also have a set of 205/55/16 Potenza's laying around. Would this combination fit on my car? I don't want to get the tires mounted if the rims won't fit or if the offset is wrong.
Thanks!

Thanks for posting the chart but how does that answer my questions. I know the physical dimensions of the 15" oem tires I already have and the new 16" tires. I need to know if the rims will fit, if the offset is the same and will the new tires I have fit on the rims.

OK, the rims I have aren't Konig. They are Enkei Etoria's. They measure
16 x 8" outside diameter (16 x 7" inside the lips where the tire goes) so I guess that makes them 7" wheels.
They physically fit on my 1997 Maxima. I don't have tires for them yet but I am assuming a size of 215/55/16 is the correct size.
They are stamped 38 inside the wheels near the center.
If that is the offset in mm is that correct for my car? I think the offset on the 1997 Maxima is supposed to be 40mm.
I don't want to pay to have tires mounted and balanced if they are going to rub or worse.. if they are going to stick out of the sides of the car.
They looked ok when I test fitted one of the wheels only on the front of my car.
