2005 Murano Wheels (18" x 7.5") on a 1997 Maxima?

Hey guys,

I picked up a set of minty fresh Murano rims today (with tires) for $250 and I'd like to use the wheels on my car. I currently have the 5-spoke 97-99 SE rims running 235-50-16's. The Murano rims measure 18" x 7.5" and they currently have 235-65-18's on them from when they were on a Murano. I'd like to get rid of those and slap on some 235-35-18's. Can anyone provide any input as to whether or not this will be a useable setup? I really appreciate it - thanks!

Might wanna go with a 40 wall for better comfort and to fill the wheel well better. Are you dropped?

In particular, I'm looking at getting these tires: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

Can anyone chime in and help me out as to whether these will fit ok? The rim is 7.5" wide...

Thank you sir - you are a scholar and a gentleman. I think I'll buy buying these soon, as people seem to have nothing but good things to say about them.

By the way, where did you get your ExtremeContact DWS's? TireRack doesn't seem to carry the 235/40/18's... I'd rather get the 40 profile than the 35 to fill in more of the wheel well, since I'm far from slammed.

Anytime. And yeah go 40's. 35's, your gap would be kinda big. Only way to pull em off is if youre slammed.

Keep us posted on what happens. Pics would be great!!!!!!

Yeah, I'm thinking either 40's or maybe even 45's. I'll definitely post pics when they're on, but it may be a few weeks before I get the money situation...situated.

You read my mind....I was thinking 45's maybe but someone else would have to chime their wisdom in for that answer...

Yeah, it might look better since it would fill in more of my wheel well, and it would still be a lower profile than the 235/50/16's I have now. BTW, I like/agree with your sig quote!
