Does this look like curb rash?

So here is the situation. I haven't driven on my wheels very often, less than 400 miles, and I took them off because it's going to be raining for a while and I didn't want to drive through any hidden potholes. I don't recollect any damage to the outer lips because I ran my finger around all wheels to feel for anything after I took it off. I took one of my 20x10.5" wheels to America's Tire to have a 245/35/20 tire removed and a 255/35/20 installed. Since it was raining I wasn't able to look at it until I got home. This is what I found.

Does this look like curb rash? I'm not too experienced in this area which is why I'm asking. This wheel was on my driver's side, so there would be no reason to brush any curbs. From other curb rash I've seen, this doesn't look at all like curb rash. With this damage, the gloss coat peeling will more than likely spread, who knows at what rate. Also, here are signs of other negligence. They had to remove the weights from the wheel to rebalance, and it looks like they used the flathead technique.

What do you guys think, and what should I do?

those scratches on the inside are from some DA using a flathead to remove the wheel weights

Nope not curb rash they did that removing the tire, that's why when I go to tire shops I stand right there and watch them do everything and they still **** the lip up and I give them the look

I figured. And to think I took my wheels off to protect them from the storm coming, only to have America's Tire **** them up. I'll give them a call tomorrow.

I went in this morning to discuss with them what happened. The shop assistant took a look and agreed it was damaged. He showed it to the shop manager, and he quickly referred me to a well known wheel repair shop under their bill. I can't be mad at that at all.

Only thing that sucks is its an added nuisance and something that can easily be avoided by people doing their job right. I hate it when people dont care when its someone elses property.
