Tire Size Question

On a 20 by 8.5 wheel which would fit better a 255-40-20, or a 255-35-20 on a 35 mm offset? Would either make my speedo off?

I prefer the 255-40-20 because it will give me a slightly wider tire, a softer ride, & should fit on a 8.5 width rim better. Will this tire scrape on fender wells when turning?

What about 45 then, or is that a sport truck tire? 255-45-20 would that fit without rubbing?

Too chunky, 235-40 or 245-40

I disagree I say 255. The wheels on your picture look like they could use a wider wheel. What you have there doesn't help you when you scrap a curb.

It's fine for me, I'm the only person who drives my vehicle, I know how to drive, clear curbs, been through 4 sets of wheels in 4.5 yrs, no curb damage on not one of them, but I had to get that size for my wheels in order to fit, I do like chunky tires.
