Picked up a set of Titanium Edition wheels

Ok so I was able to pick up a set of pissah 215/55/17 Mastercraft avenger LSR tires (about 85%-90% tread left) on 03 TE wheels for $175. Only issue is the wheels are kinda beat up....The pic below it the worse of them.... I want to know is it repairable and is it worth repairing? All the wheels themselves need a good refinishing (oxidizing and bubbling in spots). Also I have no center caps.... not sure if I can buy those cheaply.

Or would it be best to give my original aluminum colored 17s a light sanding and paint those. Because I really like the color of the TE wheels against the Sterling Mist of my car.

Either way 1 set of the wheels are going to be Summer and 1 is going to be for winter.

I'd just paint (professionally) your stock wheels, and sell the TE set. If you wanted to go back to the stock color, it's not that hard to find a set of 5.5's in good condition. Plus, I'm not a big fan of the center cap wheels.

edit: Also, I don't think the TE wheels are 03's.

Oh I thought the TE was only in 2003? How much do you think it would cost to have the wheels done professionally?

I think you may be right on that one. But the wheels you have pictured have center caps, all of the 2003 SE's would have had the newer 5.5 gen rims with the lug holes on the face of the actual rim. Like the ones that came on your car.

I'd imagine you could probably get your wheels painted for $200 since they don't look like they need much repair. So you'd probably break even if you sold the beat up set.

I think these are Anniversary Edition (2001) wheels. Maybe someone who is more familiar will chime in.

Ok so after closer inspection these appear the have been painted at some point.......I can spot a few drips after i cleaned them up a bit..... That probably explains the flaking thats going on. I put them on my car for the time being because I was getting sick of my little 205/55/16 snow tires diminishing my fuel mileage and also sounding like im driving a damn tank down the road. I dont think they look to bad.... I really like the color against the color of my car.... So I think Im going have my originals done in a similar color. Heres a pic.

Its got a really nice smooth ride now.... Big plus because I didnt expect them to be balanced.

these are 2001 se wheels painted to look like anniversary rims, they look pretty good, if anything swap for the better tires and sell them to get your 5.5's painted titanium you'll like that better

theyre not titaniums, they're anniversarys, the center cap on the titaniums (i had them) is very small and lugs are seperate from the cap, but on the AE they're together...........

Those wheels are going to be my winters for sure. I'm not going to paint or finish them.

I put my stockers back on with a nice polish on em.

Your stockers are better as said, you don't have the TE rims, you've got the 00-01 rims, painted like the ae.
